Dixie Bee Elementary

Hello, my name is Mika Cassell, principal of Dixie Bee Elementary School.

I am proud to say I am a product of the Vigo County School Corporation and graduated from Indiana State University in 1978. My teaching career began at Ben Franklin Elementary School where I taught 1st, 2nd, 4th, 5th and 6th grades. I then moved to Honey Creek Middle School where I taught sixth grade and became the assistant principal my last year there. In the fall of 1999 I became the principal of Warren Elementary School and the following year, I became the principal at Fayette Elementary School. Since the fall of 2008 I have been blessed to be the principal of this great school! My husband, David and I, have 2 sons, Chris and Scott, daughters-in-law, Kristy and Katie, two granddaughters, Avery and Carson and one grandson, Henry. Our family enjoys spending time together!
